Indoor potty training is a common housebreaking method for puppies and dogs that don’t have easy access to an outdoor potty area. Indoor potty training involves teaching your dog to potty inside the house. Traditionally, people used newspapers, hence the common name “paper training” – but now many people use litter boxes filled with special newspaper litter, pine shavings, cat litter or sod. This method is most common with small dogs and dogs that live in large apartment buildings where taking a dog outside is impractical. Follow this program diligently and you’re almost guaranteed success in your house training!
